1. Service Description
Race Team Wiki (raceteam.wiki) is a public index and profile platform for racing teams across all motorsport disciplines. We catalog over 1.1 million teams across 400+ racing series in 180+ countries worldwide — the world's largest free racing wiki, from Formula 1 factory squads to local karting families.
The service is operated by StaaS Fund ("we," "us," or "our"), a venture fund based in the State of Georgia, USA. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of raceteam.wiki, including claiming a team profile and uploading content.
By accessing or using Race Team Wiki, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What's Included
Race Team Wiki is free for every team, forever. There is no paid tier — every feature is included at no cost:
- A public team profile with featured placement on the Discover page
- Up to 6 photos
- Up to 4 video embeds
- Up to 5 support tiers (optional payment links you add yourself — see Section 3)
- A team logo
- A sponsor showcase
- A merch-store link
- Audience data (profile view stats)
- Team of the Day eligibility
2. Account Registration
2.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older. Accounts for youth racing teams must be created and managed by an adult (parent, guardian, or team manager).
2.2 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep your account information updated. Creating an account with false information — including a fake email address — is a violation of these Terms and grounds for termination.
2.3 One Account Per Person
Each person may hold one account. You may manage multiple team profiles from a single account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or limitation is prohibited.
2.4 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@raceteam.wiki if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
2.5 Claiming a Team
When you claim a team profile, you represent that you are an authorized representative of that team — a team owner, manager, driver, or other party with authority to manage the team's public profile. Claiming a team you are not associated with is impersonation and a violation of these Terms.
3. Pricing
Race Team Wiki is free to use. There are no subscription fees, no billing, and no paid tier — we will never charge you to claim, edit, or feature your team.
The only payments that happen on the platform are the optional support tiers described in Section 1. Those are payment links that teams add to their own profile, pointing to the team's own payment processor (for example, a team's own Stripe account). When a fan or sponsor uses a support tier, they pay the team directly. Race Team Wiki never touches that money, is not a party to the transaction, and is not responsible for how a team sets up, fulfills, or manages the support tiers it offers.
4. Content Ownership and License
4.1 Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you upload or submit to Race Team Wiki — including photos, logos, team descriptions, driver bios, race results, and any other material ("Your Content").
4.2 License Grant to Us
By uploading or submitting content to Race Team Wiki, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content on raceteam.wiki and in promotional materials related to Race Team Wiki (e.g., social media posts, press coverage, site marketing). This license exists solely to operate and promote the platform. We will not sell Your Content to third parties.
4.3 Content Accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of Your Content. Do not upload content that misrepresents your team's affiliation, results, sponsors, or drivers. We may remove content that we determine, at our sole discretion, to be misleading or inaccurate.
4.4 Third-Party Content
Do not upload photos, videos, or other content that you do not have the right to use. You represent that you own or have obtained the necessary rights and permissions for all content you upload. Race Team Wiki is not responsible for copyright infringement by users.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Race Team Wiki to:
- Post illegal, defamatory, obscene, or harassing content
- Impersonate another person, team, organization, or entity
- Claim a team profile that you have no affiliation with
- Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
- Use automated scraping, crawling, or bot activity to harvest data from the platform beyond what is permitted by our

- Use the service for commercial spam or unsolicited bulk messaging
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these standards, without prior notice.
6. Database Protection & Anti-Scraping
6.1 Database Rights
The Race Team Wiki database — comprising team profiles, series data, driver rosters, organizational hierarchies, and related metadata — represents substantial investment in research, compilation, curation, and original work. This database is protected by copyright, database rights, and applicable intellectual property laws.
Title, copyright, intellectual property rights, and distribution rights of the Service — including the look, feel, database, and all compiled content — remain exclusively with the Company. This Agreement constitutes a license for personal use only and is not a transfer of ownership rights to any portion of the database.
6.2 Prohibited Data Extraction
You may not, without prior written consent from the Company:
- Systematically scrape, crawl, spider, or harvest data from the Service by automated means
- Use bots, scripts, or other automated tools to access or extract content at a rate that exceeds normal human browsing
- Reproduce, redistribute, sell, license, or commercially exploit any substantial portion of the database
- Build a competing product or service using data obtained from Race Team Wiki
- Aggregate data from the Service with data from other sources for commercial redistribution
- Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the Service or its underlying technology
6.3 Rate Limiting & Enforcement
The Service employs rate limiting and other technical measures to prevent unauthorized bulk access. Attempts to circumvent, disable, or evade these measures constitute a material breach of this Agreement and may result in:
- Immediate and permanent blocking of your IP address or network range
- Termination of your account without notice
- Pursuit of legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages
6.4 Permitted Access
The following are permitted without prior authorization:
- Normal browsing of the Service by individual users

robots.txtfile - Linking to team profiles or series pages from external websites
- Embedding or sharing individual team profile URLs on social media

For API access, data licensing, or partnership inquiries, contact hello@raceteam.wiki.
7. Code of Conduct
The motorsport community is built on mutual respect, sportsmanship, and fair play — on track and off. Race Team Wiki is a shared space for teams across every discipline, and respectful behavior is a condition of use.
9.1 Expected Behavior
All users of Race Team Wiki are expected to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information on team profiles
- Treat other teams, drivers, and community members with respect
- Represent the motorsport community positively
- Report violations of these standards to hello@raceteam.wiki
9.2 Prohibited Conduct
The following will not be tolerated and may result in immediate account termination:
- Harassment, hate speech, bullying, or intimidation directed at any individual or team
- Discriminatory behavior or language regarding race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, disability, or appearance
- Vandalism of team profiles — deliberately editing, defacing, or submitting false data about another team
- Impersonation — claiming a team profile you are not authorized to represent
- Posting or promoting illegal activity, including but not limited to illegal racing on public roads
- Spam, phishing, or fraudulent solicitation through team profiles or messaging
- Using team profiles to promote content unrelated to motorsport
9.3 Enforcement
Disciplinary action will vary based on the severity of the offense and will be determined by the Company at its sole discretion. Available actions include:
- Warning via email
- Temporary suspension of account access
- Removal of specific content
- Permanent termination of account
Users are encouraged to report any violation of this Code of Conduct — whether committed by themselves or by any other user — to hello@raceteam.wiki. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
8. AI-Generated Content
Race Team Wiki uses artificial intelligence to build and maintain the world's most comprehensive racing team index. Specifically:
- Some team profiles in our index were created using AI-generated text derived from public sources (race results databases, series websites, news articles, team social media)
- AI-generated descriptions are intended as a starting point — they are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete
- AI-generated content on unclaimed profiles is marked as such where identified
- When a team claims their profile, they take responsibility for reviewing and correcting any AI-generated content
We do not use AI to generate content about individuals without a basis in publicly available information. If you find AI-generated content on your team's profile that is inaccurate, claim your profile or contact us at hello@raceteam.wiki to request a correction.
9. Termination
9.1 By You
You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@raceteam.wiki. Since Race Team Wiki is free, there is nothing to cancel or unwind — we will simply close your account.
9.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that:
- You have violated these Terms of Service
- Your account has been used for fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Continuation of your account poses a legal, security, or reputational risk to Race Team Wiki or its users
9.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. Team profiles you own may be removed or returned to unclaimed status at our discretion. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including content licensing, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.
10. Disclaimers
Race Team Wiki is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
- Team profile data (including AI-generated content) is accurate, complete, or current
- The Discover page will generate any particular level of sponsor interest or revenue for your team
- The platform is free of viruses or other harmful components
Racing is an inherently high-risk activity. Nothing on Race Team Wiki constitutes legal, financial, tax, or safety advice. The LLC formation guidance and NIL information provided on this site is general information only — consult a qualified attorney or accountant for advice specific to your situation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Race Team Wiki and StaaS Fund shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of sponsorship opportunities, or damage to reputation.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the service exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any disputes arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia for any disputes that proceed to litigation.
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Good Faith Negotiation
Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at hello@raceteam.wiki and attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith. Most issues — content disputes, account problems — can be resolved quickly this way. Give us 30 days to respond before escalating.
13.2 Binding Arbitration
If good faith negotiation fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. You and Race Team Wiki each waive the right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.
13.3 Small Claims Exception
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in the State of Georgia if the claim qualifies and remains in that court.
13.4 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any arbitration or legal proceeding shall be conducted solely on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to bring or participate in a class action against Race Team Wiki.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service as our service evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Post a notice on the site for significant changes
- Where required, notify active users by email with at least 14 days' notice before changes take effect
Continued use of Race Team Wiki after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the service before the changes take effect.
